Upon printing and despatch, the DBS certificate is estimated to reach the designated address within a maximum of two weeks.
Please note that an Enhanced/Level 2 with Barred List and Standard/Level 2 criminal checks usually takes around 8 weeks (5-15 working days in Scotland).
It may take shorter or longer, depending on:
- the type of check
- if the details given for the check are correct
- what police forces need to be involved in the check
You can now track your DBS check application online.

The DBS Certificate is then posted out to the applicant's current address, which can take up to ten working days. However, this can take longer depending on individual postal services lead times.
