How you can select a Job Role for your candidate when placing an order that includes a UK Criminal Record (Standard / Enhanced, England & Wales) order.

It is a set of responsibilities and duties assigned to an employee by an employer/organisation, or the candidate's job title, if you will.

The DBS job role process is a service we offer where our DBS specialist team will fully assess your eligibility for higher level DBS checks (Standard/Enhanced). We work with you to confirm if your roles are eligible against the relevant legislation.

If you need help with this, please contact us via Live Chat or call us on +44 (0) 1234 339 350. Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5.30pm.

When placing an order on the system that includes a UK Criminal Record (Standard / Enhanced, England & Wales) check, and if you don't select a Job Role on the same page, you'll get the following error message:

Errors found - You must select a job role

1. In order to resolve the error, scroll down to the UK Criminal Record check you have selected (either manually or via a package). The check will appear selected and show the below drop-down menus:

Criminal Record Check list

2. You should select Application Method: Online Application (English language), and the Job Role required for that application and that candidate: (See below.)

Criminal Record Check list (View Details)

3. At this stage, if you click Next to proceed to the next step, the system will allow you to do so without errors.
