This article will help clients understand how long the screening process takes.

Access to the Verifile - Services website.

By default, the page will default to the United Kingdom. You should choose your country from the included Show Services in drop-down menu.

The Service Level Agreement is stated when a client is signed up to use Verifile. The expected turnaround time for completion depends on the checks within the order.

We aim for completion between 5 - 15 business days, depending on the referees’ response time and that all candidates provide the required information in advance.

For example, we may have to reach out for an authority form to complete a check. If not received, we will chase this up to 3 times (once every 3 days - standard service is every 5 days). We will then send it with a reference request and that company/ academic institute may have a turnaround time of 10 days.

Some International checks and Standard/Enhanced DBS take longer than this, which will affect the entire order being completed.

The system may complete several kinds of checks instantly upon submission.

Academic checks over the school holidays will also take longer.

We provide an update for any checks which will take longer than 10 days to keep you informed of any delays.
