WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Access to the Verifile - Services website.
By default, the page above will default to the United Kingdom. You should choose your country from the included Show Services in drop-down menu.
The Service Level Agreement (SLA) is established when you first sign up with Verifile.
The expected turnaround time for completing checks depends on what’s included in the order.
Generally, we aim to complete screening within 5 to 15 business days, though this depends on how quickly referees respond and whether the candidate has provided all required information upfront.
For example:
If an authority form is needed to complete a check, we’ll request this from the candidate.
We follow up to three times, typically every 3 days (or every 5 days under a standard service order).
Once received, the form is sent to the company or academic institution, which may have its own processing time — often around 10 days.
Certain checks, such as international verifications or Standard/Enhanced DBS checks, may take longer, which can delay completion of the overall order. Similarly, academic checks during school holidays often take additional time.
Some checks may complete instantly upon submission.
We’ll keep you updated on any checks expected to take longer than 10 days, so you’re always informed of potential delays.
