DBS validates the email address by the below regex:
First part of address + Middle part of address.
Explanation:
1. First part (Yellow), can contain a combination of any numbers and letters, dot, dash, plus, and underscore. Anything else is invalid (Yellow).
2. Second part (Turquoise), must start with ‘@’ and follow the same rules as #1.
3. Third part (Green), must start with ‘.’ and only contains 2-to-4-character long letters.
Note: for addresses ending as .co.uk, the .co is part of the 2nd section and .uk is the 3rd part, which must be between 2 and 4 letters. Example Below:
