Once you’ve completed an ID verification with your candidate ready for a DBS check, and you have confirmed that the information on the ID documents matches the information on the Verifile system, you can confirm that you have completed this step by following the below actions:

  1. Log in to the Verifile Client Portal.

  2. Click Review Orders

  3. Search for the candidate using their name(s), date of birth, or order number.

  4. When the result is returned, click on the Order Number for your candidate. This will take you to the order details.

  5. In the table below the candidate’s personal details, in the column labelled Check Type, you will see the check(s) that have been requested for this candidate.

  6. Click on the U.K. Criminal Record check on this list, which will take you to a new page.

  7. Scroll down and you will see a list of documents.

  8. Tick/check (or untick/uncheck) documents here until the documents you select match those that you have seen while conducting the ID verification.

  9. If they already match, you do not need to tick or untick any documents.

  10. Enter the name of the person who conducted the ID check.

  11. Select the tick box confirming you have verified the candidate's identity in line with the DBS Code of Practice.

  12. Click the Click here to confirm button to Confirm the face-to-face meeting .

This completes the ID Confirmation and the system will then automatically submit the check to the DBS.
