If a candidate has had a name change, can I accept their non-updated UK/international passport as proof of identity for UK Criminal record checks?

Modified on Tue, 27 Jan at 2:49 PM

A candidate has changed their name, but their UK/International Passport is not updated to reflect this change, and if the candidate can provide a name change document, we will accept their UK/International Passport.

One of the following name change documents can be accepted:

    - Deed poll document

    - Marriage certificate

    - Divorce papers (stating the name change)

The attachment of the name change document to the order is necessary.

Please note that this is classified as an additional document, hence you must provide the mandatory document for the UK Criminal Record Check along with this additional requirement.
