I Can't Provide a Reference for a Candidate

If you are able to, please provide us with the reason why you feel you would be unable to provide a reference in reply to our email.

If you do not wish to provide any reasoning, please also state that. 

 

How Do I Submit a Confidential or Private Reference?

You can provide the reference to us in a password protected word or PDF document, and call the Referencing Team on +44 (0) 1234 339 310 (quoting the reference number beginning with VF) to provide the password, or send it in a separate email chain.

 

No links are sent to referees for references - its all done through email so you should never have to access any blocked links. Depending on the reference type, we may send an authority form attachment, this can sometimes be blocked by your company email policy. If that happens you can respond to us and we can resend across the reference request without an attachment.


Note: Theres always an option to provide the information/reference over the phone.

 

How Do I Submit a Reference or Employment Verification?

Responses can be sent via email as a reply to our request, or provided verbally over the phone by calling the Referencing Team on +44 (0) 1234 339 310 (quoting the reference number beginning with VF).

 

I Don't Know the Person Mentioned in the Reference Request

Respond to the request advising you are unable to locate the candidate in your systems. We may be able to provide some additional details to help you locate them, or we could consult with the candidate to reconfirm the details they have provided are correct. 

 

The Person in the Reference Request Hasn't Worked for My Company
