What does each check status mean?

Each order that we come across on the Verifile client portal will have a check status of some sort attached to it.

In this article, you'll be able to work out why the order has the check status that it does.

Check Statuses can change multiple times in a day.

The Check Status is the pathway of the actual check being completed for the client.

The Verifile client portal has different statuses built in to help us capture all the required details if they were initially not provided or if additional details were needed throughout the application process.

The main check statuses are as follows:

Check Status

Meaning

Awaiting Candidate Entry

We are waiting for the candidate to fill in the application form on their and submit this to Verifile.

Application

Work on your order is about to start.

Information Required

We require additional information from the client/candidate for us to proceed with the check – example: Waiting for client to confirm ID, Proof of address, mothers maiden name, etc.

Pending Client Approval

Before we can proceed we require additional approval from the client before progressing with application.

Processing

We are working on the Background Check.

Quality Checking

We are reviewing the report internally before issuing Final Report to the client.

Completed

The Final Report has been issued to the Client – once all checks have been completed.

Cancelled

When a check has been cancelled by either party.

Received Information

Once the required information has been received and uploaded, we would update the status to this.

Completed – Red, Amber, and Green.

Red – Adverse information matches found.

Amber – Slight variation compared to the information provided.

Green – All details matched, successfully.

Within the Orders section, you will be able to find out which status the order is in by scrolling down below the candidates details which have been entered and you'll come across and table like the below:

To look in to the check further you will need to click on the actual check itself where you will find internal notes on what is required at that stage. e.g., via the UK Criminal Record (Enhanced, England & Wales) link.
