This article will explain the cancellation policy and help advise you on the stage of your check, and whether this will incur a charge if you cancel the order.


The breakdown below states our cancellation policy and shows the criteria for each section.

 

The following cancellation fees apply to all orders placed with Verifile: 

 

The point at which the order is cancelled 

Charges 


Orders placed online using the ‘Place a new order (candidate entry)’ option: 



  • If the order is cancelled 'before' the candidate has submitted the online screening form on the Verifile system.


  • If the order is cancelled 'before' the courtesy call to the candidate has been made (as noted on the main order page).


  • If Verifile has carried out no work on the checks or order, and if no actions have been completed, such as processing the check, sending email reminders, recording notes that indicate research was conducted, or issuing email notifications to confirm identity for criminal record checks. 


No charge 


  • If the order is cancelled 'before' the candidate has submitted the online screening form on the Verifile system.


  • If the order is cancelled 'after' the courtesy call has been made to the candidate (noted on the main order page). 


Please note that the option for courtesy calls prior to candidate submission has been agreed upon. 


 

£20.00 


  • If the order is cancelled 'after' the candidate has submitted the online screening form.


  • If the order is cancelled 'before' the courtesy call to the candidate has been made (as noted on the main order page).


  • If Verifile has carried out no work on the checks or order, and if no actions have been completed, such as processing the check, sending email reminders, recording notes that indicate research was conducted, or issuing email notifications to confirm identity for criminal record checks. 



No charge 

  • If the order is cancelled 'after' the candidate has submitted the online screening form.


  • If the order is cancelled 'after' the courtesy call has been made to the candidate (noted on the main order page).

  • If the order is cancelled 'before' the candidate has submitted the online screening form on the Verifile system.
  •  If the courtesy call to the candidate has been made (as noted on the main order page).


  • If the candidate has done the digital process and has transferred the information from the 'Yoti' or 'Post Office' application to the Verifile screening form. 

 £20.00 + 

Full charge for Digital Check only


  • If the order is cancelled after the candidate has submitted the online screening form on the Verifile system.


  • After Verifile has initiated the screening process, it indicates that work has been carried out on the checks or order (such as processing the checks, conducting research, or other related activities).


Full cost 


  • If the order is cancelled 'before' the candidate has submitted the online screening form on the Verifile system.
  • If the candidate has 'done' the digital process, and has transferred the information from the 'Yoti' or 'Post Office' application to the Verifile screening form. 

Please note: This would be if no candidate has been made (which would be pointed out on the main order page).


Full charge for Digital Check only



  • If the digital process is 'Not' done, and it has not transferred the information from the 'Yoti' or 'Post Office' application to the Verifile screening form. 
  • And the order is cancelled 'before' the candidate submits.


No charge


  • If the digital process is 'Not' done and it has not transferred the information from the 'Yoti' or 'Post Office' application to the Verifile screening form
  • If the order is cancelled 'before' the candidate has submitted the online screening form on the Verifile system.
  • If the courtesy call has 'not' been made to candidate has been made (as noted on the main order page).


No charge

 


Orders placed online using the ‘Place a new order’ option:



The order is cancelled before Verifile has started the screening process. 


Please note: Check if a courtesy call has been made, if the candidate has completed a digital process, or if the candidate has submitted their application. 


No charge 


The order is cancelled after Verifile has started the screening process. Such as processing the checks, conducting research, or other related activities, sending email reminders, recording notes that indicate research was conducted, or issuing email notifications to confirm identity for criminal record checks. 


Full cost 

 


Orders placed by email: 



The order is cancelled before Verifile has started the screening process. 


Please check if any courtesy call has been made, if the candidate has carried out a digital process, or if the candidate has submitted. 


No charge 


The order is cancelled after Verifile has started the screening process.

Orders placed automatically by Verifile on your behalf according to the ‘Services and Specification’ agreement: 



The order is cancelled before Verifile has started the screening process.

The order is cancelled after Verifile has started the screening process.
