SUMMARY:

This article will give examples of possible results for the digital checks and advise what this means.

REQUIREMENTS:

Access to the Verifile system and a final report or completed check.

PROCESS & INFORMATION:

Criminal record check (Basic, Standard or Enhanced DBS, England & Wales)

The results for a criminal record digital check will show on the system and will show as 'Green' then the DBS check will automatically move to the next stage where it is being processed by the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) directly.

If the result shows as 'Red', then this means that for the UK digital identity check, the digital process was not passed.

If the check shows as cancelled, this can mean that the candidate selected "no" to holding the required documents to proceed with the check

If the check shows as red they may have started the process but then did not provide all the required documents when they were in the app.  You will then see the below message.

If the check shows as red then you will need to review the order to locate why this is 'Red'. This may be because the candidates ID could not be verified or the information on the ID was not a match. This will be stated in the document page of the order.

Please note that the UK Digital identity check is a separate check that 'only' confirms a candidate's ID for the UK criminal record check. The UK digital identity check accepts any country's passport and/or driving license, unlike the UK's right-to-work check.

UK Right to Work

For the right to work check, if the digital check is completed correctly and they have right to work then the check will show 'Green'.

If the check does not complete or we are unable to verify the documents this will show Red and the below message.

This will then move to a manual check where our team will review the document provided.

Please note that the UK Digital right-to-work, check only confirms a candidate's ID for the UK right-to-work check and only can be done by candidates who hold UK or Irish current and valid Passports

OUTCOME:

You will be aware if the digital check is completed or not.
