What do the evidence scores mean in digital ID checks?

Modified on Tue, 10 Feb at 12:32 PM

Evidence scores relate to the GPG45 guidelines on how to verify an identity.

How to prove and verify someone's identity - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

There are 4 different levels of confidence:

  • low confidence
  • medium confidence
  • high confidence
  • very high confidence

By reaching a level of confidence:

  • you’ll know how well your organisation or service is protected against identity risks

Meaning the score in each area determines which identity profile your candidate matches and whether that falls into low/medium/high confidence.
