Why is there an additional fee to obtain a reference?

When completing background checks for candidates, some employers and institutes have a policy to request a fee in order to provide a reference.

Our team will reach out to the registered, listed user on the order and request approval for an additional fee, typically for Employment History checks and Academic Qualification checks.

Verifile will only proceed with the background check if we receive payment approval.

However, if we do not have payment approval for the additional fee, we cannot get a reference, and will therefore cancel the check.
