AccessNI / NIDA Account Creation and Linking     

[AccessNI Signatories only] 

 


This guidance has been produced to assist AccessNI Signatories to:- 

 

  1. Create a new NIDA Account on the nidirect website; and 
  2. Link their existing AccessNI Account to this new NIDA Account. 

 

This process must be completed the first time a Signatory or Applicant logs on to their account on the nidirect website after 17 July 2018. 

 

No AccessNI cases can be processed until this linking process is successfully complete.

 

When you first attempt to log on to your AccessNI account on the nidirect website after 17 July 2018, the following error message will be displayed.

 

 

  • This error message is displayed because your AccessNI account has been frozen and you will need to create a new NIDA account and link this new account to your previous AccessNI account.
  • To create the NIDA account, simply clink on the Create account button on the logon page and enter your details.
  • Care should be taken when entering the email address and password. For convenience, AccessNI would suggest that you use the same email address and password that you used for your previous log on details. You can change this later if you wish.

 

 

 

 

  

 

 


Once you click on Create Account, we will send the following activation email to the email address you provided on the creation of the account.

 

 

 


Once the account is activated by clicking on the activation email, the following webpage appears: 

 

 

 

 

 

Select Return to nidirect. 


Under Popular Services, click Apply online for an enhanced check through a registered body

You’ll then see the following page, only this time you’ll sign in.

 

 

 

 

Once logged in, the following page will appear to capture your contact details.


When content with the detail you have input, click on Save Changes. You’ll be presented with the following page: -


  


You must click on the Yes option to link to your old AccessNI account.

Click Yes again to confirm.


You should now enter your AccessNI email address and password to log into your AccessNI account.


Upon clicking the log in button you will be prompted for your 10 digit signatory number in the normal way.

Successful entry of the correct Signatory number will take you to the Registered body homepage where you’ll be able to select cases for processing and view your Case Tracking in the normal way.
